Slow year for Superbowl ads.

http://www.hulu.com/adzone

I liked the Kiss Dr. Pepper Ad, and one of the Doritos ads. Oh I did like the Betty White Snickers.

Lots of Slapping and underwear this year (bad underwear spots)

One local company shot one of the lamest commercials I've ever seen... in HD even. Terrible. Thank goodness it was local. only.

You can also view them all at youtube for the Canucks that can't get Hulu to work. That link is here. (your welcome Smeegs)

My favorite by far has to be the "Punch Bug" commercial with Stevie Wonder and Tracy Morgan.

I haven't watched a commercial in almost 8 months since we got the PVR.. (DVR for my 'merican buds)

I could care less about commercials and the general brainwashing that comes along with them. A lemming, I am not.

Next.

Wait... couldn't you be considered a lemming for following the trend of getting a PVR? I mean the rest of us got one, so aren't you following us then? Wouldn't you bucking that trend be watching recorded tv on a beta max and fast forwarding through the commercials?

Just sayin is all...

To really buck the trend you need to watch the commercials and fast-forward through the show.

A PVR is a technological innovation that lets me bypass the infernal communication of marketing strategists to the masses.

I think what Jedi is proposing is already happening, scarily enough!

I do know that one "planned technology" for the TiVo Future is the ability for broadcasters to embed a static ad image that will pop up whenever you fast-forward a show. That way, screaming through 2.5 minutes of ads in a program will subject you to a 15-second "billboard" ad. While I would still find that preferable to having to listen to 150 seconds of crap... I find it kind of insulting that advertisers and broadcasters are conspiring to hunt me down like that.

with the internet and viewing of today's programs, marketers know that they are screwed. Thanks Tivo!
