I'm sure most have you heard about the McNabb trade to Washington. The only thing I find suprising about the deal is that they sent him to a division rival that they play twice next season. On paper this makes Washington a better team and tougher to beat. However, maybe Philly knows that McNabb is done and they think he will not help the Redskins at all. What is your opinion - good or bad move by Philly.

Well if he isn't playing hurt, and we know he is basically healthy and not hiding anything... look at how Farve and Warner, both blossomed at the end of their careers. I think he has a lot to offer the Redskins.

We were just done with him here. Redskins have more problems than their QB position, but they are definitely better with him. Eagles have 11 draft picks this year, Im curious to see what they do.

I am really surprised with the move. Not so much as McNabb moving on. But to the team he went to. Yeah I know Philly fans had it with him. Its andy reid who like to throw 60 times a game and run the ball 5 times. Thats not a winning combo. I think philly fans will regret it. This guy is a really good QB. Lets see if Kolb can hit jackson like McNabb did. Hmmmm. Like red said. It just kills me that he stays in the division. I don't get that either Red. Now you play him 2 times a year. What the!!!! Not Smart. The Skins are a much better team today. They still need to draft some guys for the O-Line. Don't want to see McNabb get hurt.
There have been a few moves in the NFL that have been big. It took the McNabb trade for a starting football thread. Boy aren't we busy people. Bolden to the Ravens is hugh!! Peppers to the bears. No NFL Cap. A lockout 2011. Busy topic. -------------------- TRUE SIM

I was surprised as hell when this got announced...I dunno what to say, I'm a Jason Campbell fan and wanted to see him play but having McNabb is def. a better option. It also means we won't have to dish out a bazillion dollars to some QB with the 4th pick...that bazillion dollars should be well spent on a LT to protect McNabb....guess we'll wait and see what else happens.

McNabb still has 2 great years in him. Everybody wins here, Philly was simply just tired of him and want Kolb. Washington upgrades the QB position and some other team will also upgrade with the addition of Jason Campbell (Broncos, Cards?). Dont be surprised though to hear chants of McNabb in week 3 when Kolb throws a pick 6 and gets sacked 4 times.

Yeah but how do you trade with in the division. The only way is that the Eagle front office really feels McNabb has nothing left. I think he has 3-4 more years in him. I think with a run game he becomes a top QB in the league. This guy is good I have watched him 2 times a year for a long time. He is big strong and still has legs. Draft the LT and give him max protection. You have to keep McNabb on the feild. I believe campbell will be traded if not gone already. Its all or nothing.

I've watched him far more than anyone here. He is not a bad QB. He just wasn't working with the system that Andy Reid wants to run. He was effective all this time because he is talented. As for trading him in the division, I'm sure Reid knows a thing or two about him so that he wont be biting us in the ass to hard. We'll see I guess. We will not be sorry that he is gone. I hope he goes on to win a superbowl. Im tired of people shyting on Philly because of this move. "For every hot chick, there's a guy thats sick of screwing her."

There was rumors that StLouis was wanting to get McNabb before the picked up AJ then they were going to use their #1 pick on Shu. But you damn well know he did not want to go to the Rams.

Some of the articles I read suggested that McNabb forced the trade to Washington by refusing to talk to any other teams that expressed interest. |

Word here in NY is that the Eagle front office thinks he is done. Thus not being a threat.
