The Cards put on a hitting clinic today. Do you think it had anything to do with McGwires tutelage? I dont. I think hiring him was a waste of time and money. I guess we will see as the season goes on.

100% It was all McGwire. Pujols is much improved under his tutelage. ohmy.gif

Want to see a hitting clinic?? Check out the box score of the Braves and Cubbies game today. Jason Heyward is for real folks.

Wow so many meatballs in this thread I dont know if I even care to comment,,,,,,,,,,,, but I must

Congrats on crushing the Reds.... Most teams should be able to do that this year. Your really roughed up Nick Massett

Easy Iceman on inducting Heyward into the Hall of Fame. Thats twice I have seen something you said about Heyword(here and facebook). Z for some god awful reason was serving up MEATBALLS and he connected. He also went 2 for 5 and that HR I think I should have been able to take out. Not really that challenging to Homer off of a 90mph fastball right down the middle of the plate.

One game does not make a season. You could see the HR yesterday was already getting into the kids head.

Hey with my pitching staff I haven't said a word. Shhhhhh Oh yes Cdub and Absy 100% again agree. Heyward looks like a nice player and had a real good day. But easy with that Hall of Fame for real stuff. The young man has a long, long way to go to be Ryan Howard. ohmy.gif

Hhaha I love it... I just wanted to see if you would get in here Dub and talk some smack since I mentioned the Cards. Plus I was really wanting to get to how the Cubs sucked it up yesterday and Iceman knocks it out of the park for me, Awesome.

I mentioned no HOF - the kid is real good is all I said. So much for Zambrano being an Ace.

One game does not determine a season. Z got roughed up Monday with no excuses from me. The only that would call him an ace is our manager. All of the fans in Chicago know that Ted Lilly has been the one we considered the ace of the pitching staff. Z is our number 3 at best.

Yeah baseball is a long long season. Think about this for a moment. By the time the season is over. The NFL will have played one third of its season. Wow!!!!
